Andrea studied at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at Edinburgh University.
Andrea started off her veterinary life working with all shapes and sizes of animal – the most unusual being koalas and kangaroos whilst working in Australia! She now specialises in small animals, her main interest being keeping up to date with current practices, ensuring the best treatment is available to the animals she treats.
Andrea is never sitting still! She has ridden horses since she was 11 years old and her current project is working with her cob horse ‘Chance’ – the aim being to have him successfully pulling logs. She also has a ‘collection’ of dogs, cats, horses and chickens to keep her busy in her spare time!
She enjoys doing her bit for charities that are close to her heart, including projects in China, India, Bolivia and Kenya, with the most recent venture being to work in Thailand for 3 weeks for the Lanta Animal Welfare charity, which helps the local community care for their cats and dogs.
